Charlene and John were married in Port Blandford According to the Placentia Historical Society, it is a long standing tradition around the bays of Newfoundland that when a couple gets married, after the ceremony anyone who has a gun fires it off, in order to "make as much noise as possible". I had never experienced this myself until last weekend, when after the ceremony while driving through the community, friends and neighbours came out of their homes with their shotguns and started firing. I have to say I was oddly impressed. It added so much character to their wedding, and I'm all about that. I wish you guys all the best!
