While shooting a portrait session at Middle Cove Beach, I happened upon a pod of whales.. and a couple of very brave kayakers! You never know what’s going to happen here in Newfoundland!

I am proud to exclusively offer KISS wedding books to my 2010 clients. I get so excited when a KISS box arrives at my door.. I almost hate to give the books away!
KISS Books are delivered in swank, sexy, cloth dust-covers. The albums are thick and luscious, with the softest leather you can imagine. KISS uses only 100% full-grain, natural leathers selected for their grains, strength, and quality. Full-grain hides feel better and are more attractive than fake, bonded-leather covers. The books are simple and elegant, and come in seven “ridiculously good-looking” colors : Virgin White, Sultry Blue, Forbidden Green, Smouldering Brown, Passion Pink, Voluptuous Black and Redlight Red.
The pages are lay-flat with a micro fold, which means that panoramic photos are seamless, allowing for jaw-dropping large spreads.
Each spread is a photographic print that is folded and glued to the middle substrate – this binding process is called flush mount.
The leather albums’ pages are hard pages with substrate separating the prints. They are thick and durable.
KISS Wedding Books are so gorgeous and well made that you can’t help but be impressed by their incredible quality.
The KISS company is an absolute pleasure to work with, and they guarantee their albums for life. I can’t wait to share them with you!

Julie and I just got back from an awesome “work holiday” in Jamaica. I was there to photograph Kelly and Stephen’s wedding, which will be on the blog very soon!! For now, here are a few fun photos from our trip..

I also did a lot of scuba diving in Montego Bay. HERE is a quick video of a giant sea turtle we followed.
I would like to wish a very Merry Christmas, from my family to yours. All the best this holiday season!!

You might have noticed that I have been MIA for the past little while.. My wife Julie and I just got back from a wonderful holiday in Mexico!! We flew into Cancun, then drove about two hours down the Riviera Maya to Tulum, where we stayed at the beautiful Gran Bahia Principe. The resort was fabulous, and all-inclusive, but we are not the type to stay put. We did a lot of exploring off the resort, and had some seriously awesome adventures!
First, we visited the Mayan ruins of Tulum. They are located on a cliff overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, and are so full of mystery and beauty. We also went to Playa del Carmen, a cosmopolitan town in the heart of the Mayan Riviera. Here, we took in all of the sights and sounds of Mexico, and did some shopping on the popular Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue).
Next, we went to Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park. This was unbelievable. We did the ‘Ultimate Adventure Package’, which included a SkyCycle through the jungle, splash-down ziplines, and rappelling and snorkeling in the cenotes (caves). We had so much fun here, and would recommend it to anyone!
On another day, we visited Xel-Ha - one of the most amazing Natural Wonders of Mexico. Xel-Ha is hailed as “the world’s most beautiful Natural Aquarium. No walls. No glass. Nothing can ever compare to this experience.” SO true. We spent hours snorkeling in the pristine waters, and I got to try out my new underwater camera gear. Also at Xel-Ha, we swam with dolphins at Delphinus. This was such an incredible experience for both Julie and I.. one that we will never forget!
This first shot was taken at an art display in the Toronto airport.

The Mayan ruins at Tulum would be the ultimate location for a bridal shoot. We just happened to have a wedding dress with us (like you would!)

This was such an awesome vacation. We are ready to go back already!
I just completed teaching a series of workshops.. both Photography Basics and Advanced Photography. I would like to thank everyone for coming, and for making both workshops a great success! Again, Katie was a fantastic model! I look forward to seeing some of your images from the class.. in the meantime, here are some of my favourites from the Advanced shoot!
