Krista and Mark

I was so happy to be able to squeeze in an engagement shoot with Krista and Mark.  It was beginning to look like the stars were against us that day, as I was late getting back in town, the weather was not cooperating, and they were only going to be in St. John’s for ONE day.. but we worked it out and came up with these incredible images.  You guys were totally cool, laid back, and extremely easy to work with.  I’m looking forward to your wedding next August!

Congratulations Crystal and Peter !

Crystal and Peter came back from Alberta to get married in their hometown of Twillingate.  The ceremony took place at the beautiful Northeast Church Heritage Museum, which actually hadn’t held a church service in 20 years, since it became designated as a museum in 1987.  Their reception was held at the local fire hall, and we got some awesome shots of the bride and groom on a Fire Truck.  I love that! While I was out that way, I took some time to drive around and take in the sights a bit.  It is so beautiful out there!  I took loads of photos (of course), which I will post soon in a separate entry.  Stay tuned!

busy summer

Ok, so I am getting a little behind with my blogs again.  I have been extremely busy these past few months, with 2 (sometimes 3) weddings every weekend.  During the week I am busy shooting portraits, engagement, maternity and baby sessions, as well as trying to keep up with my blog, answering emails, editing photos, designing Fine Art Albums, getting prints ready, cleaning my equipment, meeting with clients.. Whew!  It’s exhausting just to think about, but I love to work this way.  It is important though, to sometimes take a step back and spend some quality time with my family.  Here is a photo that Julie took recently of me and our little man.  It was a gorgeous summer day, the sun was just right in the sky, and he was all smiles. :)

Congratulations Peggy and Greg !

I had a great time photographing Peggy and Greg’s wedding this past Friday.  They are an awesome couple who obviously know how to have fun together.  Peggy has such an infectious smile, that lights up a room.. and these photographs!  I’m sure Greg had something to do with the engine revving & tire smoking of the 1955 Chevy Bel Air they were being driven in.. Rock On Greg!  I really enjoyed spending the day with you guys.  Thanks, and Congratulations!!

Jennifer at 33 weeks

I had a great session with Jennifer and her husband Chad.  Jennifer has such a beautiful maternal glow.. it was a pleasure to photograph her in this final stage of pregnancy.  All the best to you guys.  I look forward to meeting your baby girl!

Congratulations Nancy and Michael

Nancy and Michael were married this past Saturday in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Wilds at Salmonier River. It was an absolutely perfect day, at a spectacular location.. I couldn’t have asked for more.  As soon as I entered the grounds of The Wilds, greeting me on the road was a giant moose!  After the ceremony, it was fun to watch Nancy and Michael zip around the course in their golf cart.  Michael and his groomsmen even lined up on the driving range to hit a few balls. We got some really outstanding images.  Every angle was just breathtaking.. I couldn’t stop taking pictures!  I love to play with shadows and reflections, and this day allowed me to do alot of that.  Congratulations Nancy and Michael, and thank you for a wonderful day!
